Coréia do Sul está utilizando Bitcoin

Especialistas financeiros em Washington informam que a Coréia do Norte está utilizando criptomoedas e o Bitcoin para contornar as sanções impostas pelos Estados Unidos.

De acordo com Ross Delston perito especializado no mercado financeiro, e Lourdes Miranda, investigadora de crimes cibernéticos de ordem financeira, a capital norte coreana, Pyongyang, está fabricando sua própria moeda digital e, provavelmente, está usando criptomoedas, como o Bitcoin.

Segundo Priscilla Moriuchi, ex-autoridade de segurança cibernética da NSA, a Coreia do Norte está recebendo cerca de US$ 200 milhões através de venda e mineração de criptomoedas. Ela ressalta que o país está buscando outras alternativas para conseguir moedas digitais com mineração de Bitcoin e Monero.
